CMT’s residual solvent analysis is performed using Gas Chromatography (GC).
Residual Solvent testing is required for all solvent-based concentrate production until the production process has been validated (4 batches, at least 6 days apart). Please always check with your MED agent to confirm process validation.
Per Colorado law, the following are the solvents and their limits:
- Butanes <800 PPM
- Heptanes <500 PPM
- Benzene <1 PPM
- Toulene <1 PPM
- Hexane <10 PPM
- Xylenes (M, P, O) <1 PPM
After production process validation, residual solvent testing will be done on a random-sampled basis by the MED.
