CMT Laboratories is a Colorado state-licensed, state certified analytical testing laboratory providing mandatory testing.
We currently offer the following tests on-site:
Potency testing is performed using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) under the hands of highly experienced scientists. Contaminant testing, such as residual solvent analysis and terpenoid profiling, are performed using Gas Chromatography (GC). Microbial and mold analysis is done using QPCR and supporting industry-standard DNA-extraction kits.
CMT uses only external, third-party standards for all testing. We obtain these from two different vendors to cross-check. We also use third-party internal reference standards to ensure that our equipment is always reporting test results accurately. CMT Labs is currently certified through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to perform potency and cannabinoid tests for THC, THCA, CBD, CBDA, and CBN. We can also test for CBC and CBG, and are working to obtain third-party, industry recognized standards for THCV and other non-activated forms of various cannabinoids. While currently DEA-controlled, these standards will hopefully be readily available as federal laws relax for the industry.
CMT strives to provide all of our customers with a turn-around time of 2 business days or less at no extra charge to ensure that your products hit the shelves in a timely manner. Microbial tests are typically done in 3-5 business days.
Customers are currently responsible for preparing their samples for testing. Please refer to our CMT Minimum Sample Requirements table by product type to select your testing quantities needed for analysis. Please remember to include the necessary manifest paperwork. We ask all new customers to fill out an New Client Form and refer to our Agreement of Services as our contract to you of what services we provide and how we will stand behind them. To understand more about the laboratory quality measures built into our testing and what you will have to back up your test results, please see our Testing Methods. Payment is due at time of services; we accept cash or check.
